Badminton Reflection

1. Shot selection/placement

Please write a self-analysis of the game you played/videoed based on your shot tally. Did you rely on one single shot for the bulk of your game? How would you analyze your game play? Were you on the offense or on the defense most of the time? Who controlled the game? Did you actually CHOOSE the shots you used, or were you merely reacting and just trying to return the shot that came to you? What shots seem to be your best? What shots seem to be your worst? Besides practicing the shots you are weak at, what else do you need to focus on in the future to improve your game abilities?

2. Tournament Play

You played in a variety of tournaments.  Based on the tournament information posted earlier, which type of tournament seems to be the fairest, most accurate in determining a winner?  Do you like singles or doubles play best?  Throughout this unit, which game was the most exciting to you?  Please explain WHY.  I want to hear the excitement in your 'voice.'

I was gone for most of the unit because of Starship, but I'll do my best to figure out this blog post.

In my video, I won the game against Rachel.

I think that the best tournament in terms of accuracy, would be the Singles Round Robin Tournament, as you verse people on your own terms, and it's the amount of wins that determines the winner. Whereas some other tournaments, like Round Robin Ladder are based on luck, because even the good players might end up starting at the bottom, meaning that even if you win all your games, it would take a while to reach the top.
